The first step is to recognize the pubococcygeus muscle. It’s the one that forms the floor of the pelvic cavity and is the same one that you use to control the sphincters. This muscle extends from the pubis to the spine, as if it were a hammock.

Do you still have trouble recognizing it?

When you are urinating, try to hold the urine. That muscle that you contract and stop the urine is the pubococcygeus.
